We are Sillman Thomas, an executive search and bespoke research firm to many of the world’s most respected organisations, and our purpose is to find leaders who create a sustainable and inclusive future for all. We provide a variety of services to these clients and other parties, including, but not limited to: (i) end to end executive search (e.g., helping clients recruit executives for their organisations); (ii) search consultancy on a project basis (e.g., support internal recruitment teams to shape recruitment strategy, build capacity or support specific stages of their search work); (iii) bespoke research. Sillman Thomas follows the following principles in order to protect your privacy:

• We do not use your data for purposes other than those specified;
• We do not keep your data if it is no longer needed;

2. Information Collection and Use

2.1 Candidate
When you submit a CV to us we collect the personal data you give us to be used for the above purposes and collated with additional publicly available data (e.g., LinkedIn), data from interactions with you, and with related third parties. If we collect your information from other sources, we will inform you within one month of obtaining the data.
Once you contact us via the Sillman Thomas website or contact information, Sillman Thomas collects information about you.
The information you provide (personal information such as your name, email address, organisation, work experience and education) will be processed and stored so that it is possible for us to contact and respond to your request, and/or allow you access to our services.
We will collect, process and store the information you have sent us for recruitment-related purposes, such as contacting you. Additionally, Sillman Thomas may keep your data for a period of time for the purpose of considering you for various opportunities.

2.2 Client
We will use client data to perform our services to you and other legitimate business purposes such as marketing.

2.3 Source and Referee
We will use source and referee data to perform our services, in particular, to enable us to obtain opinions on a candidate. All source and referee data remains confidential unless explicitly authorisation is given by either source or referee to share any or all of the data with other interested parties.

3. Information Security

Sillman Thomas seeks to ensure the security of personal data.  When Sillman Thomas collects information about you, we also make sure that your information is protected from unauthorised access, loss, manipulation, falsification, destruction or unauthorized disclosure. This is done through appropriate technical and organisational measures.

4. Keeping your Records

We keep your personal data for as long as required to provide our services, and in accordance with legal, tax and accounting requirements. Where your personal data is no longer required, we will ensure it is disposed of in a secure manner. Where required by law, we will notify you when this has happened.

Our Data Retention policy is to review and refresh Personal Data on a cycle dependent on the purpose for which it is held as per the table below.  This data will be reviewed on this cycle to determine its ongoing necessity and to ensure that it is still sufficiently accurate and up to date either through direct confirmation with the data subject or through non-intrusive third-party verification.

5. Access to Information

You have the right to request access to the information we have on you. You can do this by contacting us at and we will make sure to provide you with a copy of the data we hold about you. In order to comply with your request, we may ask you to verify your identity. We will fulfil your request by sending your copy electronically, unless the request expressly specifies a different method. 

6. Information Correction & Deletion

If you believe that the information we have about you is incorrect, you are welcome to contact us, so we can update it and keep your data accurate. Any data that is no longer needed for the purposes specified in Information Collection and Use will be deleted.
If at any point you wish for Sillman Thomas to delete information about you, you can simply contact us.

7. Providing Information to Others

To help us run this website, and to provide executive search services or assessment services in certain countries, we work closely with trusted partners with whom we need to share personal data. These partners include:
• Other Sillman Thomas offices around the world 
• Our clients, for whom we provide executive search and other services
• Prospective clients, where we might need to demonstrate an understanding of a particular market and the individuals that work within it.

We will share information only as anticipated within this Privacy Policy and, wherever appropriate, limit disclosure to information in aggregated form, to avoid or limit identifying you personally. Where we share information with such a third party, you will not be contacted by them, unless we have obtained your prior consent.

You do not give out personal information by visiting our website. We only keep track of anonymous traffic data.
